Board Member (Treasurer), Internet Education Foundation Roger Cochetti currently is a Principal at RJC Associates specializing in worldwide policy issues facing the information and telecommunications industries. He brings unique experience at the international, federal and state levels to his practice . Prior to rejoining his consulting practice, Roger was Group Director of U.S. Public Policy for the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA.) He was responsible for guiding the Association's US federal and state public policy in the interests of CompTIA's members. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Policy Officer of VeriSign, acting as the company's primary liaison with governments at all levels. Earlier, Mr. Cochetti had directed global Internet and e-commerce-related policy/regulatory activities for IBM Corporation and had held a variety of executive positions with Communications Satellite Corporation (COMSAT) and with the US International Development Cooperation Agency (IDCA), an affiliat of the U.S. Department of State. Mr. Cochetti has helped found, and has served on the boards of directors of, many IT-related organizations, including TRUSTe, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names & Numbers (ICANN), the Internet Law and Policy Forum (ILPF), the Internet Education Foundation, the Internet Content Rating Association (ICRA)/Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI), the ICANN Names Council, the Executives group of the President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC), the Electronic Authentication Partnership (EAP.) He served on the U.S. Department of State's Advisory Committee on International Communications and Information Policies during the Bush and Obama administrations, the Strategy Council of the United Nations' Global Alliance for ICT & Development, the Executive Committee of the board of directors of the Public Affairs Council, the Online Privacy Alliance, the Better Business Bureau Online (BBBOL), the Global Business Dialogue for electronic commerce (GBDe), the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee and advisory committees to both the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC.) Roger has frequently testified before Congressional Committees on IT industry, Internet and e-commerce related issues and is the author of several books and articles on Internet and telecommunications topics, the most recent of which is on satellite communications and was published in 2014 by Wiley & Sons Publishers. He is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. Roger earned a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University. He is a resident of Chevy Chase, Maryland.
